Extracurricular Activities

Atholton Adventist Academy sponsors many extracurricular activities through Kids University (KidsU) and the Student Association.  Activities include but are not limited to athletic programs and events, family dinners, Kids vs Parents Tournaments, music, and drama.  Activities are added to meet the interest and needs of our students.

The band program is designed to allow students to develop a greater appreciation of music through the development of instrumental skills within a group setting. The band performs during Strawberry Festival at the end of each school year.

Classroom Music

Classroom music is offered twice a week to all students in grades 1-6. This music program allows students the opportunity to explore various musical media, such as recorders, hand chimes, English handbells, and world drumming. All students in grades 1-6 participate in the elementary choir. Traditionally, Christmas and spring programs are much anticipated events.

Select Choir members must have instructor approval to participate.

Private Music Lessons (fee):

Private music lessons for voice, violin, and piano are available on campus during or after school. More than 25% of our students avail themsleves of private music instruction.

Drama Club

The Drama Club, under the direction of Julia DiBiase and Beth Villanueva, offers students in Grades 6-10 the opportunity to develop leadership and outreach skills that can be used in youth ministry both at school and beyond the walls of the school in the church and community.

Young people ministering to other young people can impact students in a powerful way spiritually. As a result, the Drama Club seeks to use this influence by providing skits for our annual Spiritual Emphasis Program, chapel, church services, and other special events.
